I am a hamburger fan, I do not deny it. This past weekend was my birthday and our wedding anniversary. It has become a tradition for my wife and I to frequent a hamburger restaurant of my choice around my birthday. This time we decided to support the only In-N-Out franchise in our city. It was our first visit.
When we arrived at around 11am. The restaurant was fairly busy. We received our order no, “47”
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and also reading up (some we knew by heart) on the Bible verses printed on the packaging.
On our way out, this scene was presented, as I looked up from the floor to find the exit door. No, “27”
So what?… you may be thinking. Well these numbers are significant to me as part of my journey with God, described in my book Ever Present Communicator: Engaging with a Dynamic God.
In short: “2(7) “is related to discernment, witness and testimony and the number “4(7)” with earth, rule, reign, kingdoms and creation.
I believe this was God’s way of showing His approval but mostly His kindness and grace on my birthday weekend. An encouragement to keep walking the road that leads to the narrow gate. That is and always will be where God is to be found. To top it of, we received an expected check through the mail on the Monday, what wasn’t expected was the reference number “2747”!
Here are the Bible verses that we received while munching on the hamburgers. God is good, active and very close-by.
Nahum 1:7 – The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 24: 16 – For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
May God’s peace power and strength be with you. Always.
